As you and your team build test coverage in mabl, you can use the workspace search and application filter tools to locate and manage your tests at scale.
Workspace search
To find a specific test, plan, flow, or step within a flow, click on the search icon in the top right corner of the app to open up the workspace search panel.

Workspace search icon
By default, workspace search matches the keywords in your search query against names and labels in your tests, plans, and flows, as well as individual step in flows.
Semantic search
For tests and flows, check the "Use semantic search" box to search with natural language queries. With semantic search, you can search based actions and goals, instead of trying to match keywords.
For example:
- “Fills out checkout form”
- “Adds dress to the cart”
- “Selects a date and time from the calendar widget”
- “Validates accessibility settings on the dashboard”
- “User settings page”
Semantic test search is not currently supported for API tests.
You can also leverage semantic search from the test and flow pages. Enter your query in the input with the placeholder "Search for tests/flows by what they do".
Search by label
Click on a label to view other tests, plans, or flows with the same label.
Application filter
To filter your workspace data by application, click on the filter icon in the top right corner of the app and select the applications you want to filter.
Accessing the application filter in the app
Filtering your workspace by application can be helpful in the following scenarios:
- You only want your workspace to show plans, tests, and results from the application that you're currently working on.
- You want to filter out plans, tests, and results from an application that you don't regularly work with.
Keep in mind that the application filter is a user setting. This setting persists between sessions and only affects an individual user's settings, not the entire workspace.
