mabl now supports post-quantum cryptography across the web app, Desktop App, CLI, and REST API. This upgrade automatically protects your connection against “harvest now, decrypt later” threats, where encrypted traffic today could be theoretically decrypted by future quantum computers.
No action is required on your part. This change is already in effect.
How it works
When your client and network support it, the connection uses ML-KEM, the post-quantum key exchange standard NIST published as FIPS 203, in a hybrid with classical X25519 (TLS group X25519MLKEM768).
Supported clients negotiate ML-KEM automatically:
- mabl web app: Chrome 131 and later.
- mabl Desktop App: mabl Desktop App version 2.30.4 and later.
- mabl CLI: the mabl CLI running on Node.js 22.20.0 and later, or 24.5.0 and later.
- mabl REST API: any client that supports ML-KEM, including Chrome 131+ and Node.js 22.20.0+ or 24.5.0+.
Older clients continue to connect over standard TLS exactly as before.
