The mabl Desktop App should be regularly updated to take advantage of mabl's newest functionality, improvements, and bug fixes. The app shows a banner prompting you to update the Desktop App when a new version is available.
To update to the newest version, click the link to update and restart the app.

As of December 22, 2025, the minimum Desktop App version that fully supports all features is 2.34.6.
Check for updates
To manually trigger an update, click Help and Check for updates within that menu. If an update is available, a message will appear telling you the most recent version has been downloaded.
Change the update prompt frequency
The default update prompt frequency is 24 hours. You can change the update prompt frequency in the preferences menu: Edit Preferences Updates.
View current release notes
To see what changed in the latest version, access the release notes. The update banner includes a link to access release notes directly in the app.
