If you updated your app recently, you may have noticed some smaller UX improvements to the mabl app. Last week, we held a “Polish-palooza” and resolved over 50 UX tickets. Sometimes the little things can add up to make a big difference, and we hope you enjoy these quality-of-life enhancements!
Enhanced Trainer functionality
The Trainer now supports bulk copy and paste for test steps. Bulk step copy is particularly useful for copying large sequences of test steps and customizing them for slightly different scenarios. Learn more.
Need to find a specific action or variable in your test? Now you can quickly find it with Trainer step search. Learn more.
Navigation and usability upgrades
Configure Find is no longer buried in the More actions... menu. To specify which attributes mabl should look for or set a timeout, click on the new Configure Find icon.
Inputs are resizable, so you can work with longer queries and texts.
Previously, the Trainer didn't show any indicator for annotated steps. Now it shows a "Note" tag to indicate when a step has an annotation, making it easier to share notes with other members of your team who work on the same test.
If your test includes nested conditionals, the Trainer displays each level in a different color so you can easily distinguish between different levels.
Improved test output
If a deployment event fails, the output page shows the failed plans at the top, making it clearer what failed.
Virtual tabs now show the scenario name on hover so you can easily identify runs for different DataTable scenarios.
And when you view test output, you can check the DataTable scenario by clicking on View all >.
UX polish
We simplified the new test form to remove extra noise.
Lastly, we standardized icons for branching, merging, and tooltips, promoting a more consistent visual experience.
No more mismatched tooltip icons!
