With recent changes to the mabl agent chat, you can work with the agent on your own schedule. Step away mid-task, and the agent comes back to the conversation when it's ready for the next step. In the meantime, you can redirect it while it's working, answer its questions when you have time, and start a chat from any page in mabl.
The chat is available to everyone in workspaces with generative AI features turned on.
Step away mid-task
When the mabl agent starts a test run or plan run, it picks the conversation back up once the run finishes, reads the results, and tells you what happened. When it starts authoring agents to build or edit tests, it keeps track of their progress and answers their questions where it can. You come back to the outcome instead of checking on each run yourself.
Redirect the agent while it's working
You don't have to wait for the agent to finish before you change course. Send a message at any point, and the agent reads it at its next step and adjusts. Your message shows as Queued until the agent picks it up.
Answer questions when you have time
When an authoring task needs your input, its question appears at the top of the task's Overview tab. Answer it there, or reply in the chat box below. If the agent asks something new later, the question opens again so you don't miss it.
Only the person who started an authoring task can accept, close, or stop it. Teammates can still open the task and follow along.
Start a chat from any page
Click the chat icon in the top bar to open a full-page conversation with the mabl agent, with your conversation history beside it.
A new conversation suggests a few places to start, such as planning a test or investigating a failure. Click a suggestion to send it as your first message.
Other improvements
- Hover over a conversation in the history sidebar to rename or archive it. Archiving removes the conversation from your history and stops any work the agent is still doing in it.
- Conversations the agent starts in the background, such as the authoring agents it uses to build tests, no longer appear in your history.
- Send files without typing a message. The agent looks at what you attached and responds.
- Click Download in the header of any file the agent shows you to save it as a PDF.
- Click a branch the agent mentions to open it.
- When a conversation gets too long to continue, the agent says so and asks you to start a new one. Your tests and runs aren't affected.
