When you build a browser test with the mabl agent, you can now point it at the Jira issue the test is being written for. Instead of re-typing a user story, bug report, or requirement into a prompt, you can pick up to five issues from the + menu below the prompt. The agent reads each issue's summary and description as it drafts the test outline.
The Jira issue option appears when your workspace has a Jira Cloud integration set up. Jira Data Center is not supported: its plugin sends data to mabl rather than mabl reading from Jira, so there is no issue for the agent to fetch.
Try it out
- Go to Build tests > Start chatting...
- Click + below the prompt and choose Jira issue.
- If your integration covers more than one project, choose the project to search. Jira searches one project at a time.
- Search by issue summary or issue key, then pick the issue. The reference appears as a chip showing its key, such as
PROJ-123. - Add up to five Jira issues, write your prompt, and send it.
Already have the link? Paste an issue key such as PROJ-123 or an issue URL into the search box, and mabl resolves it directly across every connected Jira site, so you can skip the project step.
mabl reads the issue's summary and description. If your team keeps acceptance criteria in a custom field, include them in your prompt or attach a requirements file.
