You can now look up mabl tests by test case ID without leaving your terminal or AI client! The lookup is available in the mabl MCP and in the mabl CLI with mabl tests list.
Try it out
mabl MCP
Ask your AI client something like, "Which mabl tests are linked to TestRail case C112?" The mabl MCP matches IDs regardless of capitalization, so c112 finds a test linked to C112.
mabl CLI
Starting with mabl CLI version 2.137.2, pass test case IDs to mabl tests list with the --test-case-ids option:
mabl tests list --test-case-ids C112 C113
By default, the CLI matches IDs exactly. Enter each ID as it appears in the Test cases field, including capitalization. For example: AB#123 for an Azure Boards work item. Add --columns all to show each test's linked IDs in the table, or -o json to get them as test_case_ids.
Limitation
Tests linked to Xray tests aren't included.
