If the mabl agent finishes authoring a test and it isn't what you had in mind, you now have more options for what to do next.
- Send back for rework - if the test is close but needs changes, send it back to the agent with your notes
- Close a task - if you don't like it at all, close the task so it stops waiting for review
Send a test back for rework
With rework, you can ask for changes without leaving the review. You don't need to find the test, open a new chat, or retype what you wanted.
- On the Agents > Tasks page, open a task with the Review status.
- On the Ready to review card, select Send back for rework.
- Under What should mabl change?, describe the changes you want. For example: "The checkout step should assert the order total, not just the confirmation banner."
- Select Send back.
The mabl agent chat opens with your notes already sent and the test selected for editing, so you can agree on the changes before the agent starts building. Like any agent edit, the rework follows your workspace's Require agent edits on branches setting. The original task keeps its Review status, so you can still accept or close it afterward.
Send back for rework is available in workspaces that can edit tests with the mabl agent.
Close a task
Select Close task to end a task you don't plan to keep. It appears on the Ready to review card. It also appears in the task header while the agent is waiting on your answer (Needs input status). Closed tasks show a Closed status on the Tasks page.
Closing is final. A closed task can't be reopened, and the mabl agent won't pick it back up. What happens to the test depends on the task:
- The agent created a new test: the confirmation includes an Also delete checkbox that names the test, selected by default. Leave it selected to delete the test along with the task, or clear it to keep the test.
- The agent edited an existing test: nothing is deleted. The test and the agent's changes stay where they are, so you can review or discard them yourself.
