When you build a browser test with the mabl agent, you can now point it at an Xray test so it plans from the test case your team already wrote. Pick the Xray test before you send your prompt, and the agent reads that issue's summary and description as it drafts the test outline.
Until now, the Xray sync integration ran in one direction: mabl published run results into your Xray project. The same connection now reads the other way, so a specification that already lives in Jira becomes the starting point for the test instead of something you re-type into a prompt.
The Xray test option appears when your workspace has an Xray sync integration set up.
Try it out
- Go to Build tests > Start chatting...
- Click + below the prompt and choose Xray test.
- If your workspace syncs with more than one Xray project, choose the project to search. Each Xray sync integration reads a single project.
- Search by issue summary or issue key, then pick the test. The reference appears as a chip showing its issue key, such as
PROJ-7. - Add up to five Xray tests, write your prompt, and send it.
Your references stay with the session, so they're still there when you return to a planning chat later.
mabl reads the Xray test's summary and description. Xray keeps a manual test's steps in a separate field that the mabl agent cannot read. If the majority of the Xray test's detail is entirely in its steps, attach a requirements file or describe the steps in your prompt.
