Providing context makes a big difference when working with agentic AI. To assist with this effort, we’re happy to introduce application summaries, now available for all mabl customers and trial users!
As you create and edit browser tests, mabl automatically generates a summary of what the web app does. The mabl Test Creation Agent uses this description to understand your app and suggest more appropriate steps. Application descriptions help reduce the burden of writing the perfect prompt, so you can spend less time providing background on what your app is and have more confidence in the agent’s planning process.

How it works
When you create a test for a new web application, mabl automatically starts generating an application summary within a few hours. Summaries are periodically updated based on recent test activity. This summary is then used as additional context by the Test Creation Agent when generating a new test.
To improve the accuracy of the generated application summary, we recommend regularly running tests in the cloud, since mabl can use the screenshots and logs from test results to form a more complete picture of your app. If no test run history is available, mabl uses only the test definition to generate the summary.
Notes about generating summaries
- Application summaries are auto-generated and cannot be edited.
- The processing and generation of an application summary can take several hours.
