To give you greater flexibility and ease while managing your test data, we recently made some UX enhancements on the New/Edit DataTable page in the mabl app. Read on for a summary of what's new with DataTables!
Filter by scenario
Use the filter bar to quickly identify the exact scenario you want to review or edit.
Replace via CSV upload
Want to start over with a completely different CSV? Click on the upload icon to replace the existing DataTable with a new CSV.
Bulk scenario deletion
To quickly clean up unwanted test data, you can now select and delete multiple scenarios at a time.
Inline insertion of new scenarios and variables
Before, you could only add new scenarios and variables to the end of the DataTable. Now you can insert them anywhere!
Enhanced grid visibility and control
Column headings are now frozen to keep variables in view as you scroll. To manage longer variable values, expand the column width or use the Shift + Space shortcut to open a larger text input area.
Keyboard shortcuts
Use keyboard shortcuts to manage your DataTable without repetitive mouse clicks
- Jump to edges - use Ctrl/⌘ + ↑ or ↓ to instantly go to the top or bottom of the DataTable
- Next cell - use Tab to move through data fields
- Filter - use Ctrl/⌘ + F to place your cursor directly in the filter bar
