At mabl, we get a lot of great feedback and requests from you, the users, on how to improve the platform. To deliver on your suggestions, we held our second “Polish-palooza” of 2025, making over 50 UX enhancements across the web app, Trainer, internationalization, and mobile. Read on for a summary of the highlights!
Searchability upgrades
The Network tab for step-level output in browser tests now includes a Parsed format, so you can quickly search and filter requests made during test execution.
Filter by method, URL, status type, and more!
Working on a test that has a lot of data-driven variables? Use the new search bar to easily locate specific variables.
Alphabetized lists
To help you work more efficiently, many list views in the app are now alphabetized, including the “Add step” menu in the Trainer, the credentials dropdown, the branches list on the test details page, environment variables, and workspace names.
Trainer steps are alphabetized!
Improvements to the test planning experience
If you navigate away from the test planning experience, mabl now stores your work in a virtual tab.
No more lost work!
We also updated the layout and button colors on the test planning page to make it easier to identify next steps in the test creation process.
Improved deployment result output
On the deployment results page, failed plan reruns are surfaced at the top for faster debugging.
Longstanding requests
The following improvements don’t fit into any of the above themes, but they are no less noteworthy:
- Credit estimations - the plan details page now shows how many credits you’ll use if you run the tests.
- Step number count - the Trainer now shows the number of steps in the test, and surfaces a warning if you exceed 500 steps.
- Names for Slack integrations - if your workspace has multiple Slack integrations, you can now add a name to each integration to make them easier to differentiate.
- Internationalization - missing translations were added to the “set file input” and API step” menus in the Trainer.
- DataTable downloads - you can now download DataTables as a CSV from the mabl UI
