Microsoft is making updates that impact the mabl Teams integration. This article explains what Microsoft changed and what you need to do to ensure your Teams integration continues to receive notifications from mabl.
What Microsoft changed
The mabl integration for MS Teams relies on webhook URLs configured in Microsoft. Microsoft made two recent changes to webhook URLs that impacted this integration:
- Regenerating webhook URLs: in 2024, Microsoft required that users update their Teams connectors to a new URL. If the webhook URL was not updated by December 31, 2024, mabl notifications can no longer reach your Teams channel. Learn more.
- Retirement of Connectors: on March 31, 2026, Microsoft is ending support for Office 365 connectors. Moving forward, incoming webhooks must be created with Microsoft’s new Workflow solution. Learn more.
Who is impacted
Your Teams integration is affected if:
- Your existing Teams integration is no longer publishing mabl notifications.
- Your Teams integration uses a webhook URL created with the legacy Office 365 connectors.
How to update
To continue using the mabl Teams integration, you must update the incoming webhook URL using Microsoft Workflows:
- Regenerate the URL: Follow Microsoft’s instructions to create a new incoming webhook and copy the URL.
- Update the Teams integration config In the mabl app, go to Settings > Integrations and edit your existing Teams integration. Paste the new URL in the Webhook URL field and save your settings.
