We are delighted to share that visual find element descriptions can now be generated in a variety of languages for our international users!
Visual finds target UI elements using plain language descriptions. Up until now, descriptions were always generated in English. Starting with mabl Desktop App version 2.37.4, you can update your workspace settings to generate element descriptions in additional languages. This update makes it easier for international teams to collaborate on tests in their working language of choice.
How it works
Workspace owners can specify the language used to generate visual find element descriptions on the workspace page in the mabl app: Settings > Workspace. By default, the element description language is set to English.
If you want element descriptions to be generated in a non-English language, choose a different language from the dropdown list. Currently, additional languages include French, German, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Spanish
When you record tap steps or draw a visual area for a tap step, the Trainer will generate element descriptions in your chosen language
Element descriptions will also be visible in the Trainer step list and step details on the test details page.
This new setting impacts element descriptions generated after this version of the desktop is installed. Old steps remain unchanged with element descriptions in English.
