In mabl, you can export output from browser and mobile test runs as a PDF. PDF exports are helpful for teams that need to track results for compliance reasons or to quickly share output with a non-mabl user for troubleshooting.
To export test output as a PDF, click on …(More actions) > Export as PDF.
Location of Export as PDF on the test output page
This article describes what’s included in a test output PDF.
In addition to PDF exports, mabl supports other options for exporting results:
Test-level details
The first part of the PDF export shows high-level details about the test run, including but not limited to:
- run status
- environment and plan details
- when and how long the test ran
- test run ID
- a link to view the output in the mabl app
Step output
The step-level output shows the status of each step, the step runtime, and all screenshots from the run. Assertion steps are noted with a bolder outline to make the output easier to read.

Limitations
Please note the following limitations:
- PDF exports are limited to browser and mobile test runs with fewer than 1000 steps.
- Japanese characters are not currently supported in PDF exports.
- Output from API and performance test runs cannot be exported as a PDF.
If you have a use case involving any of these limitations, please let us know in the mabl Product Portal.
